Felix Gilman’s next Ararat book is out in hardcover. Thanks to my generous friends Greg and Mary, I have a gift card at Amazon that more than covered it, so I ordered it.
You might think, in an era where writers are expected to promote themselves because publishing companies won’t (unless you’re gorgeous or controversial) that someone like Gilman, who has a website and an entertaining blog, might have posted a little something about the book being out. He posted a little something about Thunderer being on some best-of-2008 lists, after all. But Mr Self-Effacing back there in New York didn’t choose to do that.
Oh dear, I hope that previous paragraph didn’t imply that I think Mr. Gilman isn’t gorgeous. I’m sure he is! He has quite a nice cover photograph.
