350 Gardens, Week Four; Squash Blossom

The tomato plant has more than doubled in size, and they already have squash blossoms.  My squash plants are doing all right, but no blooms yet.  This is because their garden gets ten hours of sun a day, and mine gets about four.

Squash are loaded with minerals and vitamins that are good for us, and they are a good “low-fat” food.  I read somewhere that they take more calories to digest than are in them, which, if true, would make them very good diet food and not a good thing to eat if you were starving.
