Here it is. In this photo, it has three bottles of booze in it already (not included; must purchase separately).
It comes with the bar tools featured. From left to right, they include:
- Juicer
- Foil cutter/bottle opener
- Zester
- Some fancy strainer
- Cocktail spoon
- Hawthorn cocktail shaker top (strainer)
- Muddler
- 2nd strainer
- Ice tongs
- Pour tops
- Shaker
- Jigger (in center)
- Corkscrew (included and not pictured)
You would think that would be plenty, especially someone like me, who actually mixes drinks two or three times a year, tops. You would be mistaken. Of course I wanted more doodads, and over the course of several days and several trips to various specialty stores I added:
- Cocktail picks
- Funnel
- Champagne stopper
- Measuring spoons
- Knife
- Cutting board
- wine stoppers (not pictured)
- a couple of small glass flasks (not pictured)
The kit folds up into this handy case. It’s very compact, but since it’s full of glass and liquid it still weighs a ton.
(No glasses? No, not in the bar kit, but in the other bag I always schlep around with food and food-adjacent items.)
I’m planning to head up the coast soon, to Mendocino, and I will probably inaugurate it there with a small “cocktail party.” Linda and I have a trip to southern central California planned, and I’ll probably bring it, although neither of us is much of a drinker. A writing friend pointed out that I can always give a mini launch party in March, at FOGCon (if it’s in person) to celebrate Comeuppance. That’s definitely a thought.
(I didn’t include the company name. It’s Jillmo, available through Amazon.)
